I’m on the D-List. Not quite as famous as Kathy Griffin, but it’s a cool list to be on, nonetheless!

What’s the D-List?

Many blogs automatically have a ‘nofollow’ stipulation in their comments. You comment on their blog, and may have a good conversation, but not much else. Search engines don’t follow these links, so it cuts down on “spam” comments, of folks commenting just to get a backlink.

After visiting Curt Tuttle’s D-List, and wandering through some of the sites, I thought, “This is great! I’m finding sites that I wouldn’t have naturally surfed to, and loving every minute of it!”

I haven’t really seen a big benefit in backlinks, as of yet, but I am enjoying the new discoveries.

I’ve added a plugin so that folks that comment and join in the conversation here are rewarded, not just with me checking out their blog, but also with a “dofollow” nod to the search engine robots.

Sure, a lot of folks comment on the listed blogs for the added authority. But some will decide to stay. And either way, it’s a cool thing to do.

You can get the whole list, and host it on your site, too! Check it out here!

Dumping Feedburner

I joined feedburner recently. I know a lot of bloggers trust it to handle their RSS feeds.

And I do like the feed stats.

But I’m going to be dumping the email option when I choose another way.

I write. A lot. And I really don’t think folks need an email to tell them what my latest article happens to be, EVERY DAY.

With my Business Coach Newsletter over at BellaOnline, I send an email once every other week or so, letting my subscribers know the last few new articles, a few tips, what’s going on in the forum, and what businesses I think are cool, lately.

I want, for THIS, business a means of rolling my newsletter, email updates, and ecourses into one service. I want control over how things look, when things go out, and how manual or automated things are. I like to add my personal touch, after all!

Feedburner’s email RSS delivery just feels to invasive to ME, and I write the stuff! So… So Long Feedburner email!
