In “Trying Blogsvertise,” I mentioned how the service was recommended to me as something I would like.

After trying it… I disagree.

While I’m certain that it’s a good service for * somebody * – for my advertising requirements for this blog, it’s just too restrictive, with not enough flexibility.

They send members “assignments” via email, and you have to either write the post, or go to the site to decline the assignment. Um… that’s too much like a job for my taste.

And after filling out the information, with the intention of receiving assignments based on what I already write about… the assignments I received just didn’t cut it.

So, I experimented.

I tried to up my fee & received a warning that it may be too high and limit gigs. Now, I’m not a money grubber, and if the challenge fits what I’m trying to do, I’ll do it for less than my normal wage.

I haven’t heard from them since.

So Long Blogsvertise! I’ll monetize with private advertisers & PPP.
