Costly Mistakes – Own Up
Hey, welcome back! Did you remember to join our newsletter? Did you know that paid members receive tons of cool freebies and discounts?
There are tiny little mistakes that we often make in our everyday lives that can have much greater consequences than just the initial sting.
Like accidentally moving your entire music folder to the “trash” and then selecting “empty trash” only to realize the consequence of that mistake when the iBook alerts that it can’t delete the song currently playing. WHAT@#$^%@^?
Or the time me, myself, and I nearly overwrote this ENTIRE blog, with an errored subdirectory installation. THAT day was a big learning experience. Check the archives… like Prego: “It’s in there!” (This is what I call a”Sweet Mistake.” Yes, it was an “oops” could’ve been a bigger “Oops,” but was a great learning experience and validated my choice to install the “bones” of this site on a subdirectory.)
But what about those mistakes we either keep ignoring, or own up to, without changing course? Even the Titanic tried to turn when the iceberg was spotted.
What kinds of errors in judgement are you ignoring or denying, in your life or work, so that you just don’t have to deal with them?
Today’s the day to own up. Just admit them, today. We’ll work through a strategy tomorrow. Today’s the day of brutal self-honesty. Yes, it’s difficult. But you can do this. WE can do this.
Ok, Go!
