I hate shopping – except

Hey, welcome back! Did you remember to join our newsletter? Did you know that paid members receive tons of cool freebies and discounts?

When I discover a cool shop that shows the passion and personality of the proprietor – I get excited.

Yesterday, I found such a shop.

Ok, so I’m a little slow to get on the bandwagon, but I believe that my path was meant to cross that of “Down the Rabbit Hole” yesterday.

Eric had mentioned a shop he heard of that might be open to selling cool gifties on consignment, so yesterday we drove down there to check it out.

I knew I was going to love the store as soon as I saw the prayer flags on the door.

Beautiful candles, cards, books, gifties (including a Mermaid/Peacock inspired “Lanai Lady” which boasted the quote “Impossible is a word you humans use all too often,” which E quipped sounded like something I’d say.)

I recognized the voice of the guy that the owner was talking with, but didn’t really turn around; I kept on with my “Own it. Own it. Read it. Want it.” Until we noticed that the guy was a familiar face from a favorite watering hole.

We got into a conversation with himself and the owner herself about the first anniversary celebration, happening later this month. (I swear that must be an auspicious day, too many invites.) His band will be playing and tea will be poured, and henna will be applied. Sounds like the kind of thing myself, and Balianne, my belly dancing alter-ego would love.

Before I left I mentioned that I help folks bring their passion and creation inspired businesses online and invited them to visit CenterOfMuse.com. I really hope I do hear from them. The owner of the shop has a lovely energy. I’d love to work with her on her business projects.

(Though, it occurs to me, that my current theme still isn’t working in IE. The layout needs fixing. Not my best foot forward. That being said, I’m unleashing two of my own new themes soon, which promise to fix the cross-platform issues.)
