“I wanna be a cowboy, baby,” sings Kid Rock, an American Superstar.
A cowboy is one of the most common Halloween costumes for little kids.
While the vast open plains and cattle drives of the past are becoming more and more scarce - cowboys still exist. Sometimes on the farm, ranch, or football field, but professional cowboys can be found in the rodeo, too.
There’s been some mention of rodeos in the news, lately. From rockstars taking a stance, saying they don’t agree with it from an animal rights standpoint. I can’t argue with a person’s belief.
Myself, I’m an omnivour. I eat meat, I wear leather, and being a good Wisconsin girl, I eat cheese and ice cream, too. I use glue, eat gelatin, gummy worms, and even find gelatin in my lipstick and nail polish sometime. I’ve also been to an actual bullfight, in Madrid. So, while I believe in being kind to animals, I also believe in the circle of life.
Personally, I’d dig some Wrangler National Finals Rodeo tickets. I really get into the excitement of live events. The dirt, the animals, the crowd’s energy!
Events like riding, roping, and racing take quite a bit of talent and dexterity. Cowboys will be training all year, for what has been called the “Superbowl of Rodeo.” Las Vegas will truly become “Cowboy Town” - Brooks & Dunn have even let NFR use the song for the nightly Grand Entrance.
