Google Adsense

Adsense, which I don’t host a lot of, has earned enough to be considered a success, with the goals I set out for the monitization experiment early on. My main goal was to have experiments that would pay for the hosting, registering and marketing of each site that they are placed on.

Overall, since starting the Adsense project in February 2007, across all sites Adsense made $76.90 to date. More than half of that was from Center of Muse with $53.60, followed by the previous version of MegMeyer.Com, and other sites.

My BIGGEST Earners – $100′s

PayPerPost

PPP, the cause of much commotion with Page Rank demotions was one of my top two earners. And I only took 25 posts, over the course of the year.

I earned $324.50 for 24 posts. (The other one will be paid out in Jan 07, and is not counted here.) This breaks down to about $13.50 per sponsored post.

Serious PPP bloggers can earn quite a bit, with the 2 posts allowed per day and the above average. Professional PPP bloggers can earn well over $8,000 per blog, if they choose to. (It’s a little more complicated than that, I’ll explain in a future post.)

MidPhase Hosting

Midphase is a company based in Chicago, IL, that recently sold to a UK company. According to their recent press release, everything under the Midphase lable, including AN Hosting, which I use, love & promote will remain in Chicago.

I have been very happy as an affiliate of this company, that I also happen to host many of my business websites and recommend to my website design clients. They have excellent support staff, guaranteed uptimes and pay out monthly.

I have only been promoting them for a few months, even though I signed up almost 9 months ago. In the final quarter of 2007, I earned $425 in affiliate dollars. For something that I would recommend for free. That feels AWESOME!
