I followed a link to a commenter’s site & read about more pay-for-blogging sites.
Blogsvertise came highly recommended, so I’ll check it out. My main concern is being able to select which tasks to do, as I only choose to do paid blogging for things or services that I think are ethical and within the scope of my blog.
Yes, I know there are plenty of ad-intensive blogs out there, and they probably do make more money than this blog. But my blog and my business aren’t just about making ad money. I’d rather have fewer ads and have a better aesthetic.
The money will follow. As it is, I make enough to have this blog pay for itself and a few others. The money I make is from writing gigs, and the ecourses & services I offer on the events page. That’s the way I like it, actually.
I don’t want to advertise scams, unethical businesses, or anything that dilutes the voice of this blog. With things like Google Adsense - I don’t *always* have control over that. I will, though, take control when it comes to what goes into the writing and marketing that is featured in Center of Muse.
So, we’ll see. I’ll report back, on my experiences over the next month or so.
Stay Tuned!

Blogsvertise certainly a very good option to try. I am recently doing more reviews for Blogsvertise than payperpost. Hoping to see Blogsvertise passing on more valued opportunities.
Did you give a try to SponsoredReviews yet? My blogs are approved over there, but I would need to wait till advertisers approve my bid (unlike payperpost and blogsvertise).
I have not tried SponsoredReviews yet, Abhijeet. While I enjoy being compensated for reviews or notices that I think my readers or myself would enjoy, I’m a stickler for control. I don’t want to compromise the voice of this site in exchange for tons of paid advertisements.
So, while my blog doesn’t make as much money online as some of the others, it balances out with what my vision of this business is. And, as the goal of accepting sponsored posts, reviews, ads, etc is to break even with my cost to run this site… it does what it’s intended to do.
Thanks for the tips! (And thanks for inadvertently helping me test my Dofollow plugin. I have to tweak it to shorten the linkback period.)
